Serge Aurier Profile
Serge Aurier is a talented right-back joined Spurs from French giants PSG in August 2017.
Aurier started playing professional football for French Ligue 1 outfit Lens. After three seasons, Serge moved to Toulouse where he started gaining the attention of the top flight clubs of Europe. Aurier joined Toulouse mid-season in January 2012 and shortly later suffered an ankle injury meaning that he only appeared 10 times during this campaign. He nonetheless proved his worth in the two years to come, as he secured a place in the 2013-14 Ligue 1 Team of the Year.
Aurier then made the move to the Parc des Princes to play for PSG – initially on loan but then permanently in 2015. Injuries meant that he was not a constant feature during his first season with the club, but that was swiftly put right in the following seasons. In his 81 appearances for Paris, Aurier won: 2 Ligue 1 titles, 3 French Cups, 3 French League Cups, 4 French Super Cups, and earned his second consecutive spot in the Team of the Year during the 2015-16 campaign.
Serge Aurier made his debut for Tottenham Hotspur in a UEFA Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund and bagged his first goal against Brighton and Hove Albion in December 2017. Aurier regularly appears for the Ivory Coast and has earned more than 40 caps for his nation.
