The club has ambitions of securing its return to the highly prestigious UEFA Champions League. Spurs finished the 2023/24 Premier League season in 5th place with 66 points from 38 matches in the English Top Flight. They were only two points adrift of Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in the fourth and final UEFA Champions League spot. This is despite a superb 3 – 0 victory against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on the final day, where Dejan Kulusevski (14’, 65’) and Pedro Porro (59’) were both on target that day.

Tottenham won 20 matches throughout last season in the Premier League—only Liverpool (24), North London rivals Arsenal (28), and title winners Manchester City (28) got more. They also suffered the sixth-fewest defeats with 12—only Chelsea (11), Aston Villa (10), Liverpool (4), Arsenal (5), and Manchester City (3) had a better record.

The 2024/25 Premier League season will be Ange Postecoglou’s second in charge of the Lilywhites, having been appointed as Head Coach ahead of the start of last season. The Australian will be looking to win some silverware with Spurs this season, something that he had lots of experience with at his previous club Celtic. During his two-year spell in Glasgow, he won 2 Scottish Premiership titles (2021/22 & 2022/23), a Scottish Cup (2022/23), and 2 Scottish League Cups to boot (2021/22 & 2022/23).

The club will challenge for Champions League qualification again next season, with much for Spurs fans to look forward to in the 2024/25 Premier League season.
