The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has now replaced their old stadium ‘White Hart Lane’, which they played at for 118 years!
As the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was quite outdated, the club looked for different ways to modernise the stadium and improve the location for the players and the fans. However, they were unsure whether they should make a whole new stadium or refurbish an existing one, and they went ahead with renovating an existing one.
During the 2018/19 season, the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was opened and built with the ultimate matchday experience, including world-class facilities, state of the art design, and excellent acoustics. Thus, ensuring one of the best atmospheres of any club ground in Europe when you purchase your Spurs tickets.

The League Phase saw Tottenham finish in 4th place with a total of 17 points to their name after winning 5, drawing 2, and losing 1 of their 8 games. Spurs’ only loss was against Turkish Giants Galatasaray, who beat them 3 – 2, whilst they drew in their next game after that, which was a 2 – 2 stalemate against Italian Giants Roma. They also drew 1 – 1 away from home at the Ibrox in Glasgow against Scottish Giants Rangers.
Spurs had some standout victories, one of which came when they played Qarabag, who they were able to comfortably beat 3 – 0 at home, thanks to goals from Brennan Johnson (12’), Pape Matar Sarr (52’), and Dominic Solanke (68’). What made this all the more impressive was that they had been down to ten men for much of the game after their Romanian international central defender Radu Dragusin was sent off after he was shown a straight red card within the opening ten minutes of the contest (8’).
Tottenham has already played AZ Alkmaar once in this year’s competition, beating them 1 – 0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thanks to a crucial winning goal from Richarlison from the penalty spot early on into the second half (53’).
Spurs also beat Ferencvaros 2 – 1, Hoffenheim 3 – 2 away from home before an emphatic 3 – 0 victory against Swedish outfit Elfsborg at home, which was their final game of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League’s League Phase. Moving on to AZ Alkmaar, they finished down in 19th place, having to go through the Knockout Phase Play-Offs, where they were able to beat Turkish Giants Galatasaray 6 – 3 over two legs. The first leg saw them beat Galatasaray 4 – 1 before a 2 – 2 draw in the second leg in Istanbul.
In the league phase itself, AZ Alkmaar was able to beat the likes of Elfsborg 3 – 2, Galatasaray’s fierce rivals Fenerbahce 3 – 1, as well as Italian Giants Roma 1 – 0.
