How much did Tottenham Hotspur spend on the new stadium?

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have not disclosed an exact cost of the construction of the new stadium. The Northumberland Project, which is what the stadium construction plans are named, was originally set to cost approximately £450m when the plans were originally commissioned. However recent reports are suggesting that the build will cost around £850m.

How are Spurs funding the new Stadium?

Tottenham Hotspur have acquired loans from various banks of around £400m, to be repaid over the course of 5 years, to pay for a substantial amount of the cost. The club have stated that they look to fund the rest of the cost themselves. The clubs are said to be in talks with various corporate companies over the naming rights of the stadium. There is little doubt that Daniel Levy will be looking to reduce some of the cost by selling the naming rights to a corporate partner.
