England will head to Russia full of confidence, as they saw off Costa Rica with a 2 – 0 victory at Elland Road. Gareth Southgate pushed a refreshed team for this match, making 10 changes to the squad seen in last weeks England v Nigeria match. Spurs striker Harry Kane has been officially named as England’s captain for the Russia World Cup 2018 . Gareth Southgate had previously hinted that the armband would go to either Harry Kane or Jordan Henderson, and it’s the Spurs man who prevails.
