Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which was relatively outdated, has been renovated to a sleek modern design and is now where the fans and supporters enjoy the ultimate matchday experience. As the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was quite outdated, the club looked for different ways to modernise the stadium and improve the location for the players and the fans. However, they were unsure whether they should make a whole new stadium or refurbish an existing one, and they went ahead with renovating an existing one.
During the 2018/19 season, the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was opened and built with the ultimate matchday experience, including world-class facilities, state of the art design, and excellent acoustics. Thus, ensuring one of the best atmospheres of any club ground in Europe when you purchase your Spurs tickets.

Dress Code
If you are purchasing Spurs v Sheffield United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium please be aware that there will be a dress code for this facility.
The dress code set for this package is smart casual. Smart denim (non-ripped) jeans and smart trainers/ footwear are permitted, however please note that the only football shirts permitted are official Tottenham Hotspur football shirts. Shorts and denim clothing that is ripped, torn, distressed or bleached are expressly prohibited at all times. It is at the discretion of the club to judge whether you or your guests comply with the dress code.
Spurs vs Sheffield United Previous Fixture
Spurs 4 – 0 Sheffield United (2nd May 2021).
Tottenham Hotspur’s most recent match against newly promoted Sheffield United came in May 2021 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The home side managed to secure a deserved emphatic 4-0 victory against the Blades.
Before this match, Spurs sat in 7th place with 53 points, and they were in the hunt for Champions League football with only 5 points separating themselves and London rivals Chelsea in 4th place. The Lilywhites were also a point above Everton in 8th and held a significant 6-point advantage on 9th place Leeds United.
Spurs had emerged victorious in their most recent match before facing Sheffield United. They beat Southampton 2-1, with Danny Ings opening the scoring for the Saints in the first half (30’). In the second half, Tottenham completed a comeback through goals from Gareth Bale (60’) and a Heung-Min Son penalty (90’).
As for Sheffield United, they were sat marooned to the bottom of the Premier League table with just 17 points from 33 matches.
It was the visitors who had the first couple of chances in the match. First, Ben Osborn had a shot from close range blocked well after receiving the ball from Enda Stevens (1’). Then, forward David McGoldrick came close as well, but his effort sailed wide of the post (7’).
Gareth Bale had the first chance of the game for Tottenham just after 10 minutes had elapsed when his shot on goal went over the crossbar (12’). Dele Alli then had an opportunity of his own a few minutes later, but his header from close range was saved well by then Blades goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale (14’).
There seemed to be no way past this resilient Sheffield United defence, with Harry Kane unlucky not to score twice in 10 minutes. The first one saw Kane having an effort blocked by the visitors’ defenders (18’) before firing a shot over the crossbar a few moments later (26’).
The home side would not be frustrated for much longer, as the scoring finally opened when Bale found the net emphatically to give the North London side a deserved lead just after half an hour had elapsed (36’).
Kane came close to doubling his team’s advantage just before the break when he had yet another shot blocked well by the Sheffield United defence before seeing a further effort on goal go over the bar (41’).
Dele Alli also had a great opportunity to add to the score line in first-half stoppage time, only for his effort to be well saved by Aaron Ramsdale (45+2’).
It was Bale once again in the thick of the action in the early stages of the second half. After having an attempt on goal saved (55’), he managed to score his and his team’s second goal of the afternoon when he found the top right corner of the net after receiving the ball from Son (61’).
It did not take long for Tottenham’s third goal of the afternoon, with Bale sealing his hat-trick with just over 20 minutes to go in the contest. The Wales international found the bottom right corner in some style from outside of the penalty area (69’).
Toby Alderweireld had two efforts blocked and then saved in two minutes (75’), before Son made it 4-0. The South Korean found the top right corner with a fantastic and powerful finish outside the penalty area (77’).
The final whistle came with Tottenham coming away with a richly deserved 4-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The home team dominated possession with 65.8% possession compared to Sheffield United’s 34.2%. Spurs had far more efforts on target as well, with 11 compared to the Blades’ 1.
