Spurs Ladies lose out to Brighton 2-0

After a month away from action, the Spurs Ladies have unfortunately lost twice within a week since returning to the pitch. Brighton and Hove Albion got the better of the Spurs Ladies two goals to nil at Culver Road. Brighton started the match coming off the back of a 4-1 win against Sheffield, whereas Tottenham Hotspur had suffered a 3-0 loss to undefeated table-toppers Doncaster Belles. Brighton were brimming with confidence and had the chance to take the lead within the first five minutes of gameplay. Ini Umotong capitalised on the sluggish Spurs defending; keeper Chloe Morgan was out of […]

Spurs Ladies lose out to League leaders

The fierce Doncaster Belles increase their undefeated run in the WSL2 with a comfortable 3-0 over the Spurs Ladies. It was a match of missed chances for Tottenham Hotspur who hadn’t played a competitive game for over a month. After an extended hiatus away from the pitch, it was actually the Spurs Ladies who started the game with more energy and more focus to score. Key player Bianca Baptiste demonstrated her silky skills early on and forced Doncaster’s Bradley-Aukland to head the ball within an inch of her own goal post.  The Belles began to find their stride shortly after […]

FA Cup 4th Round: Spurs Ladies vs. Doncaster Belles

This year’s Women’s FA Cup draw is a very important one for the Spurs Ladies for one significant reason: it is the first time they are entering the competition at this fourth-round stage. The Lilywhite ladies were play-off champions in the Premier League last year, securing them a spot – for the first time – in the FA Women’s Super League (WSL2). On Sunday the 4th February, Spurs ladies take on WSL2 leaders, the Doncaster Belles, in what will be a tantalising 4th round FA Cup clash. Spurs will be looking to advance to the 5th round for the first […]

Spurs Ladies Pipped to the Post in 4-3 Defeat

The Tottenham Hotspur ladies were narrowly beaten 4-3 in a thrilling seven-goal match against Sheffield FC. Both teams have struggled to find form after a string of difficult results, which only meant that there was more to lose as the two sides came head to head on Sunday. It was Sheffield’s Melissa Johnson who opened the scoring in the 14th minute after slotting home a rebound following a parry of Hannah Cain’s initial effort. Johnson was happy to find the net as she had previously just had a shot that ended up narrowly wide of the target. The lead didn’t […]

Spurs Ladies: Ambassadors of the Sport

It has been announced this month that the Spurs Ladies will be organising a series of Soccer School programmes during the school holidays in 2018 in an attempt to further the education of women’s football to the youth of London. There is no doubt that Women’s football has been on the rise in England over the last few years, and the Spurs Ladies are taking it upon themselves to inspire any hopeful young girls that have a dream of pursuing the sport professionally. The first programme will run on the 13th February and will teach children between the ages of […]
