Shayon Harrison – Tottenham Hotspur
Shayon Harrison is a young striker in the Tottenham Hotspur development squad. Having risen through the ranks of the Spurs Academy, Harrison made his senior debut for Spurs against Liverpool in an EFL Cup clash in October 2016. Previous to that he played a part in Tottenham’s 6-1 win over Inter Milan during the pre-season, and actually found the net himself.
Harrison had a cracking first season for the Spurs U18 squad when he joined the Academy. He netted 12 league goals in total, remarkably bagging four against Chelsea in a 7-2 Spurs victory. Shayon carried his form into the next season cementing himself as the U18 squad’s top goal scorer, hitting the target 15 times in 18 games. As well as performing highly for the U18s, Harrison also managed to make 7 appearances for the Tottenham U21s.
In the 2015-16 campaign, Shayon Harrison represented the Spurs U21s both in the league and in the domestic cups. He scored 9 in 13 appearances in the League, and got 2 from 3 appearances in the Premier League International Cup.
After performing well in the Premier League 2, scoring 7 goals in 13 games for Spurs, the young and goal-hungry Shayon Harrison was sent out on loan to Yeovil Town in January 2017. Following 14 appearances for Yeovil, Harrison returned to Spurs in the pre-season period to aid the U21 Tottenham team win the European Tournament in France for that age group.
