Who scored the fastest ever Spurs goal?

Tottenham Hotspur legend Ledley King, who we have deservedly put into our Classic Spurs XI, holds the record for scoring the fastest ever Premier League goal.

King scored the opener against Bradford City in a staggering 10 seconds. The game was played on the 9th December 2000 and resulted in a 3-3 draw. King volleyed the deflected shot in from around 20 yards out. Long live the King of the Lane! He is, however, the jointer-holder of the ten-second title. Newcastle’s Alan Shearer achieved the same feat against Manchester City on January 18th, 2003.

Spurs have two scorers in the top ten

Another Spurs player occupies a spot in the top-ten quickest Premier League scorers of all time: Christian Eriksen. The Dane’s goal against Manchester United on January 31st, 2018, registers as the third quickest goal, with a timestamp of just 11 seconds. A more likely contender than the mighty Ledley King, but he missed out on the record by just a split second!
