Kazaiah Sterling – Tottenham Hotspur
Kazaiah Sterling plays upfront and has been a prolific goal scorer at all levels since joining the Tottenham Hotspur academy in July 2015.
Sterling was a regular player in both the U16 and U18s squads during his first season with Spurs. In total, he made 11 starts in 14 appearances for the U16 and scored 4 times in all competitions. The following season, the 2015-16 campaign, Kazaiah Sterling was a regular feature in the Under-18s squad and scored a total of 8 league goals. He proceeded to move up the ranks as he got better and better, and made three appearances for the U21 Spurs side. His debut goal for the Under-21s came in a blinding 7-4 victory over Leicester City.
2016-17 proved to be an outstanding season for the young striker. After having to miss the first few months through an injury, Sterling returned to the Spurs U18s with fire in his belly. Aside from netting 5 in 17 league appearances, Kazaiah scored 7 goals in 6 FA Youth Cup appearances and bagged one in the UEFA Youth League. He scored in the final of the IMG Cup in 2016 securing a Spurs win, and twice in three Premier League 2 appearances.
With consistent stand-out performances, Pochettino rewarded Sterling with a crack at the senior squad, in which he debuted with a goal in a friendly against Kitchee SC in Hong Kong.
Kazaiah Sterling made his first competitive debut for the first team squad in the 3-0 win over APOEL in the UEFA Champions League in December 2017. He also appeared in the first team squad in January 2019, coming on for the final ten minutes in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup versus Crystal Palace. He then joined Sunderland on loan for the remainder of the 2018/19 season
Sterling has been capped for England at the U17 and U18 levels.
