Christian Maghoma, standing tall at 6 ft. 4, was a large presence in the Spurs Youth defence and recently spent some time training with the senior squad at Yeovil Town.
Christian arrived at Tottenham in July 2014 and has quickly succeeded through the ranks of the Spurs academy. He made his debut in October 2014 and started 6 times for the U21s during the 2014-15 season, which climaxed with a goal against Fulham in May 2015.
It was during the 2015-16 season when Christian Maghoma was sent to Yeovil to gain some experience in a senior squad but he never actually made an appearance for the League 2 team. Prior to that, Maghoma had won the Premier League U18 Champions Cup and the IMG Cup in America. His performances at the NextGen and Terborg tournaments in Amsterdam were particularly noteworthy at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
In the 2016-17 season, Christian Maghoma started more games in the Premier League 2 than any other player in the Tottenham Hotspur development squad. He started 18 times out of an available 22 games for the season. He took seniority in his wake as he commanded his defensive line. As a result of his efforts, Maghoma was called up to represent the senior Democratic Republic of Congo side in 2017 and made his international debut against Botswana in a 2-0 victory.
