Anthony Georgiou plays left-midfield for the Spurs Youth squads and has built up a reputation for his qualities of speed and agility. Georgiou is 20 years of age and joined the Tottenham Hotspur Academy in July 2013. He made his debut for the senior Spurs side on September 20; he was brought on as a substitute against APOEL in the UEFA Champions League.
In his opening campaign in the Spurs U18 squad, Anthony found the net 8 times in 26 League appearances. One of which, was a brace against West Brom in January 2014. Georgiou found himself a regular starter in the following campaign, scoring twice in the FA Youth Cup semi-final against Manchester United. During his time with the Spurs Youth teams, Georgiou has lifted both the IMG Cup and the Premier League U18 Champions cup.
Anthony Georgiou showed his adaptability in the 2015-16 season in the Spurs U21s, utilising his pace from a LB position on a handful of occasions. He made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Spurs U21s before suffering a serious injury in 2016-17 which ruled him out between November and May. He is back to full fitness and is currently looking to push his way into the senior squad having already appeared once for them in 2017.
