Ben Davies – Player Profile
Ben Davies is a Welsh Left-back (LB) who joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2014 from Swansea City.
He began his professional career with Swansea in 2011 and quickly found himself a successful and reliable member of their first team. He debuted for the Swans on 25th August 2012 in a Premier League clash with West Ham United. By the time of his departure in 2014 Ben had accrued 91 appearances, one of which was a start in their League Cup-winning XI, he also won the club’s Young Player of the Year award twice.
Ben Davies competed with Danny Rose for the first team LB spot at Spurs, and he made 29 appearances in his first season with the club. He has improved since his arrival and has since made his Champions League debut against AS Monaco. Davies appeared 34 times during the 2016-17 campaign and has been the regular first-team starter in the Premier League in rotation with Danny Rose.
Internationally, Ben Davies has been a consistent selection for the Welsh national team and played on the left hand side of a back three under former manager Chris Coleman. He especially shone during the Euro 2016 tournament, where featured in every minute of every game for Wales aside from their semi-final showdown against Portugal.
