Spurs vs. West Ham Match Preview

A much anticipated London Derby between Tottenham and West Ham United is set to be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Premier League football will be making its return this weekend following the October international break, and it will see Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs side return to action with a much anticipated local derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham in North London.

The game takes place on Saturday 19th October, with the game getting underway early that afternoon at 12:30pm.

Team News:

Starting with Spurs, there is excellent news for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who look set to witness the return of star forward Son Heung-Min after the South Korea international picked up an injury against Qarabag in the UEFA Europa League. Richarlison is also looking to make his return on the bench. Lucas Bergvall also looks set to be available. However, summer signing Wilson Odobert is still out.

As for West Ham, their German forward Niclas Füllkrug remains a doubt for this London Derby Game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Over the years, Spurs and West Ham United have gone head to head in all competitions on a total of 223 occasions, and it is Tottenham who have the superior record of no less than 101 victories compared with the Hammers’ total of 67. There have been a total of 55 draws between these two teams to date.

The most recent game between them in the Premier League took place at the London Stadium, where it was to be a 1 – 1 draw between the two London rivals on 2nd April 2024.
