Spurs v Nottingham Forest 2023/24

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur will welcome a Nottingham Forest side led by Head Coach Steve Cooper to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 2023/24 Premier League season. The Lilywhites are set to challenge for European football. In contrast, Forest will be looking to build on last season, where they managed to avoid relegation and an immediate return to the Championship.

Interestingly, both of the Lilywhites’ first two matches against Forest ended up as 2-2 draws (25th & 27th December 1909. Then, Spurs collected their first-ever victory in this fixture on 24th December 1910 when they were 2-1 winners at the City Ground.

Fast forward to 11th March 2023, and this saw Tottenham secure a 3-1 Premier League win against their East Midlands rivals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Harry Kane (19’, 35’ – Pen) and Son Heung-Min (62’) scored for the Lilywhites that day.

It is Tottenham with the superior record in this fixture. The two clubs have met on 123 occasions, with the Lilywhites winning on 57 occasions compared to Forest’s 37. There have been 29 draws as of the time of writing.

Should Spurs secure all three points in their first meeting of the 2023/24 Premier League season, they can complete the double over Forest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 6th April 2024.
