Spurs v Luton Town 2023/24

Tottenham Hotspur is set to face newly promoted Luton Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 2023/24 Premier League season. Spurs, led by Head Coach Ange Postecoglou, will set their sights on European football. In contrast, Rob Edward’s Hatters will be looking to avoid relegation in their first-ever Premier League season.

15th December 1894 saw both clubs meet for the very first time competitively in the FA Cup, where they drew 2-2. Tottenham’s first-ever victory against Luton came on 12th October 1895 again in the FA Cup, with the Lilywhites winning 2-1 away from home.

THFC did draw 0-0 with Luton in their last league encounter on 16th November 1992. They did, however, beat the Hatters emphatically earlier that season (1991/92), winning 4-1 thanks to goals from Scott Houghton (68’, 75’) and Gary Lineker (70’, 83’).

Over the years, Tottenham Hotspur and Luton Town have met on 80 occasions. The Lilywhites have a superior record of 33 wins compared to the Hatters’ 22. There have been 25 draws between these two clubs overall.

THFC will hope to get a vital three points when they welcome the Hatters to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and it will be even better for Ange Postecoglou’s side if they can complete a domestic double.
