Spurs v Brentford 2023/24

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are set to face a Brentford side led by Head Coach Thomas Frank. Spurs will have their sights set on a European return, whereas the Bees will be looking to challenge for Europe once again, and they will be hoping to do just that this season.

26th April 1902 saw THFC register their first-ever win against the Bees in the league, beating them 3-0 at White Hart Lane. The North London side then won their next three encounters by an aggregate score line of 9-2, this included an emphatic 5-1 league victory away from home on 6th October 1902.

Fast forward to a Premier League match between THFC and Brentford on 2nd December 2021 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It was a 2-0 victory for Tottenham that day, and this is the most recent victory that North London has secured against the Bees. Son Heung-Min ensured the win and all three points midway through the second half (65’) after an own goal from Spanish forward Sergio Canos opened the scoring in the first half (12’).

Unfortunately for Spurs, they lost their most recent match against Brentford, losing 3-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 20th May 2023.

These two clubs have met on 46 occasions over the years. Tottenham have dominated this fixture with 24 wins compared to Brentford’s 7. There have been 15 draws overall.

The two teams will go head to head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the second time in January, and Ange Postecoglou’s side will be aiming for yet another win against Thomas Frank’s Bees.
