Spurs Champions League Fixture Update

Yesterday it was announced by Spurs that the Champions League Group Stage home games against Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven will be played at Wembley Stadium with the Premier League fixture against Manchester City being moved to Monday 29th October also to be played at Wembley.

Although the news is disappointing, we fully understand that all proper safety checks must be carried out before the stadium is opened and clarity is given to both home and away fans so they can make the necessary travel arrangements for the games.

The updated fixture list is as follows:

Barcelona – Champions League – Wednesday 3rd October 2018 – 20:00 – Wembley Stadium

Manchester City – Premier League – Monday 29th October 2018 – 20:00 – Wembley Stadium

PSV Eindhoven – Champions League – Tuesday 6th November 2018 – 20:00 – Wembley Stadium

Inter Milan – Champions League – Wednesday 28th November 2018 – 20:00 – Wembley Stadium

Whereas ticket details for the rescheduled Champions League games are yet to be announced by the club, our Champions League packages are now up for sale for the Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven games. Packages for the rescheduled Manchester City game are also available.

We can confirm that our upcoming Premier League home fixture against Manchester City is now scheduled to take place on Monday 29 October, kick off 8pm at Wembley Stadium.

With Wembley Stadium already hosting a major event on the date this game was originally due to take place (Sunday 28 October), it has now been agreed for the fixture to be moved back by one day. The fixture remains due to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

We should like to apologise to both our and Manchester City fans for this fixture having to be moved to a weekday evening and any inconvenience caused.

Despite the possibility that our new stadium could be ready to host this match, this would not be known until much closer to the date of the game. We have therefore agreed with the Premier League that, in the interests of clarity and certainty, we shall confirm this game as taking place at this time at Wembley Stadium so that fans of both teams can now make travel arrangements accordingly.

We shall be refunding our season ticket holders for this match 1/19th of their new stadium season ticket price and, although this is a Category A game, given the extraordinary circumstances of this late fixture date change to a weekday, we shall be offering season ticket holders the opportunity to purchase tickets for the match at Category B prices.

We should like to thank the Football Association, Premier League, Sky Sports and Manchester City for their cooperation during this challenging time for all of us in what are unique circumstances. (Spurs Official Website)

Meanwhile an EFL board meeting on Thursday 6th September will decide whether Spurs can play their Carabao Cup 4th Round game at Stadium MK, home of the MK Dons, despite the pleas of Watford to host the game at Vicarage Road. The game is due to be played on Tuesday 25th September.
