A widely anticipated 10-year deal between Tottenham Hotspur and the NFL has been concluded this month, birthing the start of a new and more global epoch in NFL history. The NFL has announced, as part of its 2018 London fixture list, that Tottenham Hotspurs’ New Stadium will become the battleground for the Seattle Seahawks as they take on the Oakland Raiders on the 14th October.
The new stadium boasts the world’s first dividing retractable pitch, providing the optimal synthetic surface for NFL games, as well as supplying a catalogue of new features that have been optimised for hosting our Atlantic counterparts. These include a dedicated NFL entrance and custom dressing rooms – making the new Spurs stadium a superb hotspot for future NFL clashes.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy noted his enthusiasm of the deal by stating that, ‘I knew how compelling and unique it would be to bring the world’s two most popular sports together in one stadium,”.
As this fixture will represent the inaugural game at the new London venue, it is only fitting that the stadium boasts an impressive array of corporate facilities ranging from premium suites, to lodges and lounges – ensuring that you can enjoy the game with maximum comfort. With the likes of Russell Wilson and Derek Carr set to take centre-stage, the impressive corporate packages on offer will round off the action-packed event.
As well as Tottenham’s new home ground, the iconic Wembley Stadium will provide a source of entertainment for NFL fans as it will host the clashes between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as the Tennessee Titans and LA Chargers in late October 2018.
As the two most watched sports of the world link arms, the new Spurs stadium will be at the heart of NFL action in London for years to come.
