Spurs New Stadium News: It’s Starting to Feel Like Home!

The Spurs New Stadium took a step forward this week, as what will likely become an iconic image of the club’s new home emerged on the side of the metal veil that is encasing the outside of the venue.

A recent announcement from the club outlined that all home fixtures until 2019 will be played at Wembley, with work on the stadium continuing rapidly in the mean time. With this breathing space, the club is now making sure that all of the stadiums systems are in order and any construction is complete.

After that, the club will then announce test events to ensure the stadium can manage the high numbers of people that will pass through the door and give stadium staff the opportunity to get experience of their roles before a hectic Premier or Champions League Matchday.

But until then, work continues, with new features such as the stadium shop giving Spurs fans a taste of what is to come.

The Newest Feature at the Spurs News Stadium

A home stadium is nothing without the iconography of the club that plays in it, and the new stadium is shaping up to have that in spades.

Parts of the outside are already boasting images of players such as Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-Min, as well as club slogans, but the most iconic part of the Spurs brand only made an appearance this week.

A huge version of the clubs cockerel logo appeared on the metal veil of the stadium overnight earlier this week, a strong indicator of how quickly those in the stadium are working to get it all completed.

The cameras Spurs have been live-streaming the construction of the stadium with since the beginning reveal all.

As the sun set on Monday, there was plenty of work going on around where the logo would be, and as the sun rose on Tuesday, it was clear the workers had been busy over night.

The club also announced on the 2nd November that the famous Golden Cockerel that graced the old White Hart Lane will be restored to pride of place on top of the new stadium, this time on the South Stand. The statue will be placed with it’s left flank facing the pitch, ensuring the most possible people in the stadium will see it, and it will appear as it does on the clubs crest.

With these additions, the Spurs new stadium is a step closer to completion, and even they are small touches, we think it makes the growing venue feel more like the incredible home the venue is sure to be!
