Mauricio Pochettino Announces Champions League Squad
Mauricio Pochettino has announced his 25 man squad for the Champions League Group Stage games against Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven this season. Unfortunately, because of UEFA registration rules, Vincent Janssen, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Juan Foyth have not been registered.
A maximum of 17 players that were not trained at the academy of English clubs are allowed in the squad. Eric Dier and Ben Davies for instance come under this category as they came through the academies of Sporting Lisbon and Swansea respectively. After Lucas Moura joined from PSG last January it was Foyth who made way for him after being registered for the group stage last season.
Another mouth-watering @ChampionsLeague Group Stage awaits…

No Place for Foyth, Janssen or Nkoudou
The full squad in full is as follows:
There is no limit to the amount of academy players that can play in the competition so players like Luke Amos and Kyle Walker-Peters are still able to play in the group stage despite not being registered.
Unsurprisingly Barcelona’s squad is full of world class talent, with Philippe Coutinho being included in their group stage squad. His January transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona meant that he was ineligible for the Catalan club in the latter stages of the Champions League last season.
