Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which was relatively outdated, has been renovated to a sleek modern design and is now where the fans and supporters enjoy the ultimate matchday experience. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has now replaced their old stadium ‘White Hart Lane’, which they played at for 118 years!
As the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was quite outdated, the club looked for different ways to modernise the stadium and improve the location for the players and the fans. However, they were unsure whether they should make a whole new stadium or refurbish an existing one, and they went ahead with renovating an existing one.
During the 2018/19 season, the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was opened and built with the ultimate matchday experience, including world-class facilities, state of the art design, and excellent acoustics. Thus, ensuring one of the best atmospheres of any club ground in Europe when you purchase your Spurs tickets.
Our Spurs hospitality packages also include different seating area options, providing you with a more fantastic choice of where to watch the game.

Spurs v Sunderland Previous Fixture
Sunderland 0 – 0 Spurs (Tuesday 31st January 2017)
It has been several years since Spurs last met Sunderland in a competitive fixture, with their most recent encounter with the Black Cats in league action having taken place on Tuesday, 31st January 2017, in a Premier League game at the Stadium of Light.
Ahead of this game against their North East counterparts, Tottenham Hotspur sat in 2nd place with a total of 47 points from their 22 games up to that point in the campaign. With a win, the Lilywhites knew that they could close the gap on league leaders and West London rivals Chelsea to as little as just 5 points with plenty of game remaining. All three points were also important for momentum, which is vital in any race for the league title.
The most recent match that Spurs played before facing Sunderland was against Manchester City, who they played at the Cityzens’ Etihad Stadium in what was a 2 – 2 stalemate between the two clubs. In this game, it was Dele Alli (58’) and Son Heung-Min (77’) who scored the goals for the visiting side, whilst Leroy Sane (49’) and Kevin De Bruyne (54’) were both on target for City that day.
Meanwhile, Sunderland were one of the clubs involved in the relegation battle in the 2016/17 season, and heading into the contest against their North London counterparts at the Stadium Of Light, they were sat at the foot of the table in 20th place with only 15 points from their 22 games at that point. They knew that victory would potentially take them out of the relegation zone if other results elsewhere also went their way.
The most recent game for them ahead of their latest clash with Spurs was a Premier League encounter with West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns, where they were on the end of a 2 – 0 defeat thanks to goals from the likes of Darren Fletcher (30’) and Chris Brunt (36’) late on in the first half.
Unfortunately for Spurs, they failed to beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, coming away with just one point in a 0–0 draw in the North East against the Black Cats in the end.
In the game, Tottenham Hotspur had by far the most possession, with 71.6% of the ball, compared to the home side, who had only 28.4% over the course of the ninety minutes plus stoppage time. The visitors, Spurs, also had the most shots on target with 3 compared to Sunderland’s 1, whilst the Lilywhites also had the most shots in general with no less than 14 compared with the 3 for the Black Cats overall.
